IP Services

Technical meaning. Consistent documents.

Patent translation and IP document support help technical information travel across languages. MML brings terminology, source versions and related documents into a coordinated brief, with the intended use and destination kept in view.

What your project can include

  • Translated IP documents within the confirmed scope and agreed output format.
  • A terminology reference or source-query record where included in the project.
  • A delivery file list identifying document names, languages and versions.

What to prepare

  • Document type, technical field, source and target languages, destination and intended use.
  • A complete source set, relevant drawings and references, with one clearly identified working version.
  • The desired delivery date and any formatting or terminology instructions from the responsible adviser.

Common questions

Is patent translation the same as filing or legal advice?

These are separate responsibilities. State whether you need translation, document support or help coordinating other project tasks. The accepted scope and the roles of any responsible advisers must be confirmed; a translation enquiry does not itself appoint a filing representative.

Which documents should be considered together?

List the specification, claims, abstract, drawings and other relevant materials, distinguishing translation files from references. Confirm the intended use and identify any instructions from the responsible adviser so that the document set can be scoped as a whole.

How can I make a source update easier to handle?

Supply the new source, identify the version it replaces and include a comparison or clear change list. The affected languages, related documents and delivery arrangements can then be reviewed before the change is incorporated.
